In April, 1940, Mary Alice Bunch was living with her parents and siblings on a rented farm in Pleasant Hill Township in Sullivan County, Missouri. Her husband, Glen Hubert Franklin, was living with his family. Enumerated in the household were:

Glen Hubert Franklin & Mary Alice Bunch divorced at some time before 1958, when Glen Hubert Franklin had married Dixie June Green. The were living in Johnson County, Kansas in 1958.

Mary Alice Bunch died on December 27, 1971 in Des Plaines, Cook County, Illinois. She was 53 years old. She was buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Green City, Sullivan County, Missouri.
