Biography

Paul was born about 1713. He passed away about 1762.

A previous version of this profile, citing only an unsourced family tree, claimed he was son of Paul Bunch Sr and Fortune Holbee[1]

These origins are doubtful according to a research paper published in 2012.[2]
  • Paul Bunch Sr left a will in 1726; it named one son John Bunch. It also named two Holdbee girls (along with possible common-law wife Fortune Holdbee). No son Paul Bunch was named in this will.
  • The research paper suggested (due to family, friends and neighbors) that Paul Bunch who married Amy Winigum was possibly a son of John B. Bunch Sr. (abt.1695-abt.1742).

Given that Paul Bunch Sr's will includes no mention of a son Paul (but does mention a son John), I suggest that this Paul be detached from the current parents.

Edited to add: I've attached him to the parent suggested in the well-sourced research paper cited here.
