Biography

George Bunch is the descendant of a Huguenot emigrant.

On 18 Jun 1880 at the time of the 1880 US Census, head of household Geo Bunch (age 29, born in OR) was employed as a Farmer and living in Brush Creek, Oregon with his wife Mary Bunch (age 19, born in OR) and their daughter Rosa Bunch (age 9 months, born in Aug 1879 in OR). Geo's father was born in Missouri and his mother in Virginia; Mary's father was born in North Carolina and her mother in Kentucky. [1]

On 1 Jun 1900 at the time of the 1900 US Census, head of household George W. Bunch (age 48, born Mar 1852 in MO) was employed as a Laborer in a Planing Mill and living in a home he rented in Reno, Nevada with his wife Mary F. Bunch (age 38, born Jul 1862 in OR); their daughter Rosa A. Bunch (age 20, born Oct 1880 in OR); daughter Edna B. Bunch (age 15, born Jan 1885 in OR); daughter Georgia G. Bunch (age 13, born Feb 1887 in OR); son Archie C. Bunch (age 11, born Aug 1889 in OR); daughter Arda M. Bunch (age 4, born Dec 1896 in OR); and son Marion L. Bunch (age 3 months, born Feb 1900 in OR). George and Mary had been married for 21 years. Mary had given birth to 8 children, 6 of whom were still alive at the time. George's father was born in Tennessee and his mother Kentucky; Mary's father was born in South Carolina and her mother in Kentucky. [2]

On 12 May 1910 at the time of the 1910 US Census, head of household George W. Bunch (age 58, born in MO) was employed as a Farmer on a Dairy Farm and living on a farm he rented in Turlock, California with his wife Mary F. Bunch (age 47, born in OR); son Archie C. Bunch (age 18, born in OR); daughter Arda M. Bunch (age 13, born in NV); and son Leland M. Bunch (age 10, born in NV). George and Mary had been married for 31 years. Mary had given birth to 8 children, 6 of whom were alive at the time. George's father had been born in Missouri and his mother in Kentucky; Mary's father had been born in North Carolina and her mother in Kentucky. [3]
