Biography

Flag of Kentucky

James was born in 1760 He passed away after 1810. He was married to Ruth Hibbs, the daughter of Isaac Hibbs on March 30, 1791 in Bedford Virginia by Nathaniel Shrewsbury.[1] He is the supposed father of James Bunch Jr (1795-1882) andNancy (Bunch) Phillips (1800-1871).

In 1810 James was still living in Bedford, Virginia. James Jr must not have been at the home when the census taker arrived because he would have been around 15 years old at the time and he's not mentioned. The rest of the dates fit with James being 35, Ruth was 36, and Nancy was almost 10. It's possible that Ruth's father had died before the estimated 1813 and the older woman in the home was her widowed mother.[2][3]

However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with James:

This profile is being researched it was made with a ged merge and had wrong information throughout. Lots of things wrong with the profile. research will be on going to get the correct information. The information that was on this profile concerning the Civil War has been removed. He died before the Civil War. However, there was a James Bunch that was in the Civil War, so either the birth date on this profile is wrong, or we have another James Bunch that the information belongs to. If you would like to help with the research please email me and do not remove information until we talk about it. Thank you.

will check into it a lot of the Bunch files were messed up from ged merges which Lisa and I are working on but will take time. There are also several names used over BUT do not do a merge we are working on those as well and some just carried the name over to several ppl. Be patient. Notice there is a note on this profile from three days ago that profile is being worked on.
