Please do not confuse this Susannah Bunch with the Susannah Bunch b. 1732 who married Lazarus Summerlin. They are not the same person although they are cousins a generation apart.
Susannah was born about 1712 in North Carolina. She passed away in 1778.
Susanna Bunch, daughter of Paul Bunch. Susanna's father wrote his Will on November 16, 1726. It was probated in Chowan County, North Carolina on 10 March 1726/7 [SS 876, 3:138-9]. He gave instructions for "two cows and calfs first to be taken out of the stock and given unto Thomas Holder and then the rest of my stock to be equally divided between Fortune Holdbee and Joseph Mecham."

It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Suzannah by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Suzannah:
Bunch-2698 and Bunch-686 appear to represent the same person because: There are 2 Susannah Bunches. 1 born 1714 and the other 1732. Susannah Bunch who married Thomas Holder was the older Susannah and dies in 1778. Susannah b. 1732 died in 1815 and married Lazarus Summerlin. SHE is the daughter of Henry Bunch.
These profiles need to be merged using correct dates and removing Henry Bunch as father.
Bunch-2169 and Bunch-686 appear to represent the same person because: I believe these are the same person. She was married to Thomas Holder Jr. She was born in 1714 and died in 1815.
She was the daughter of Henry John Bunch and Ellenor Baysson Bunch.
Thomas Holder Jr. is my 5th great grandfather.
I adopted this profile and have not had the time to research it. However, there is a lot of information on the Bunch family and some of it is incorrect and some added to the wrong profiles. So, we must be careful as we approach this profile to not confuse the Bunch line further.
Nancy, thank you for the information. I will hold off till I hear from you further re: merge. I don't want to put the wrong info if I don't know for sure.
Give me some time to dig around because that line can be confusing .I adopted it and not sure what on the profile is correct either. But I will get back to you. Also, if it is different I will make you the profile manager since it is your great grandparents and I am a cousin. I have too many profiles. Look around for some information to help us verify the lines. Try Ancestry and also Family Search, which can be wrong at times, and we can compare what we find by email if that is ok with you.
I believe there were 2 Susannah Bunches. 1 b. 1714 and died 1778 (this profile) and who was the inferred daughter of Paul Bunch and the other born abt 1732 and died 1815. That Susannah married Lazarus Summerlin and is thought to be the daughter of Henry Bunch, son of John Bunch 2.
Where is documentation that connects Susannah to Paul? There are no infant children named in his will; if she was the wife of Thomas Holder in 1726 then she must have been born before 1710. Locations seem unlikely, too.
I doubt this is connected to the right Paul Bunch. The attached profile, Bunch-207, is African-American. would his daughter be a property holder in North Carolina in 1726??
My gggg maternal grandfather was Micahjah Bunch, b. in Bertie, North Carolina, 1765, m. Lavinia Holder Bunch, 8 April, 1791, Bertie County, NC. My page, Brannon 494, says they were married until about 1801. I can only presume she died. He died in 1808 in Kentucky. Given his age vs. Suzannah's could he be her nephew, son of her brother, John B Bunch Sr? Cal Brannon
