Franz departed Havre de Grace and arrived in New York, New York on 17 August 1854.[1]
When Franz was 21 he married on 30 December 1857 in Crawford, Ohio, USA.[2][3]

Franz died at the age of 59 on 16 March 1896 in Pulaski County, Illinois, United States of America.[7]
