William Edward Bundy, son of Thomas Bundy and Susan Melinda Towery, was born 22 Nov 1836 in Eastern Tennessee. He passed away in Montrose, Missouri, on 19 May 1923. William was the youngest of a family of 16 children - 12 boys and 4 girls. At the age of 10 or 11, he moved with his family to Indiana. [1]
In 1857, he married Jane Wyant in Indiana. They had one son names Abraham Elcanah Bundy. [1]
In 1861, he joined the civil war, entering the war in Illinois, He was mustered out in Atlanta, Georgia, after serving for three years and two months. He had been wounded only once. [1]
After the war, he married Mary Elizabeth Drumbower, and moved to Missouri. They had three sons - Edward S. of Kansas City, Carter L of Kansas City, and Harry A., who died in Pendleton, Oregon, in 1919. [1]
William's obituary indicated he was the last one of 16 children, yet 3 children on this profile were born after William, with one being born too close to Williams birthdate. Further research is needed to verify all 16 children and correct birth dates.
