Estate Settlement, Book 1, Pages 440-467, Pike Co Records, Extract by Pike Co Historical & Genealogical Society (p.36):"Adm: Mary L. Bundy, appointed on Jan 7,1881. Signing the bond as sureties were W.B. Bundy & W.D. Henderson. ... Land: ... Sec 20, T.8,R.21, 120 acres -- sold to Y.J. Lasseter [husb of Laura J. Bundy], Feb 6, 1882."Email, Dorothy Folmar, 23 May 1998:"Following is some more of the info on Bundys from Mother's files:John L. Bundy (Colonel) & wife Mary Pate Bundy came to Pike Co., AL between 1850 & 1852. They built a house near Bundy Rock Spring. Later they moved in front of Kelly's Store on land purchased in 1862. He was a farmer and basket weaver by trade. He won a contest by weaving a basket that would hold water. Troy Messenger, Aug 27, 1874

The old Boutwell-Bundy Cemetery has been located 7/10 mi off Hwy 87 approximately 1/2 mile south of Springhill, AL. There are 10 graves.

Children other than William were: Sara (born 1837), Laura Jane (born 1841), Willis (born 1842), John L jr (born 1844), Henry D (born 1846), Sherwood (born 1848), Nicholas Porter (born 1850), Elijah (born 1854), Mary A (born 1858) and Celia R (born 1861).
