Paul was a member of Squad 15 of the 1628th Company, Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) at Camp Galena, Illinois, from Oct. 1934 to Mar. 1935. Type of work performed was soil erosion.
Paul worked for several years for a man named Slats Cotten which was a trucking company hauling various items especially for the oil industry in Salem, Illinois in the 1940's. Paul later worked for the Parker Brothers trucking company (who bought out Slats Cotten in the 1940's) for many years in Centralia, Illinois also hauling various items, even refrigerated goods. Paul also worked for Rockwell International in Centralia from the 1960's until his retirement in 1978. Rockwell made fiberglass truck camper shells at the Centralia plant.
