Biography

Simeon Bunker, son of Zachariah and Desire (Gorham) Bunker, was born March 21, 1736[1] probably on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts. As a young man Simeon and his brother James spent time whaling in Barrington, Nova Scotia. Simeon sold his right on Cape Sable island[2] and returned to Nantucket after James was lost at sea in 1770. He later removed "down east" to Maine with his family.[3]

married second: Experience Studley, October 28, 1783[1]
