Note: On 6 June 1859 Queen Victoria signed Letters Patent to form the colony of Queensland. A proclamation was read by George Bowen on 10 December 1859 whereupon Queensland was formally separated from New South Wales.
Derived from the above Baptism record are Birth two State (NSW & Qld) Birth Registrations that were done retrospectively:-
The NSW Birth Registration #732/1854 V1854732 40 of Jane BUNTING, child of Edward and Jane, in 1854, registration district: New South Wales.[2]
The Queensland Birth registration #1854/BBP/912 of Jane Bunting born on 31Mar1854, child of Edward Bunting, and Jane -, with the registration district being Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.[3]

Burial:-Jane Bunting Powell (1854-1943) was buried in location General Section B3 Plot P204 at the Bundaberg General Cemetery, Bundaberg, Bundaberg Region, Queensland, Australia.[4]Jane Powell was described in the burial register as an 89 year old Housewife, born at Ipswich, Queensland.[5]
Reseach Note:- Concern about discrepancy between birth and death records showing different parents for Jane. However as the baptism record showing Jane Bunting was born in Ipswich agrees with the Burial register which also shows Jane Powell was born at Ipswich is reassuring especially when combined with her age at burial calculating out to her birth year (Calculation: died 1943 - aged 89 years = born c.1854). Her Father's Christian name mix up (William instead of Edward) could be because Jane Powell's former husband was named William. The reason for Jane Powell's mother being named as Jane "Dagmar" in the Death Certificate needs further investigation and explanation.
