Virginia J. “Ginny” Bunting Cooper/Dungey, age 81 of Albion, IL passed on to her new life of no pain or suffering on March 29.

Virginia was born March 29, 1937 to John and Alta (Bond) Bunting. She was the last of 13 children. Preceding her in death were brothers: Marcus (1916-2003), Nile (1917-1996), Melbourne (1921-2016), Edgar (1924-2012), Clyde (1931-2007), John (1932-1994), Richard (1940-2017), sisters: Cleda (1919-2003), Leno (1922-1992), Esther (1926-2005), Sadie (1928-2004) and Anna (1933-1981).

She married Charles Cooper in 1956 and they divorced in 2000. She married Leonard Dungey in 2001 and he died in 2017.

Virginia worked many years at Johnny Manufacturing before raising her family and then worked later in life for Rest Haven Manor and for Raymond Messmen at RAM Oil, before starting Prairie Town Antiques in Grayville, IL. She spent many years working on genealogy of her family history with many of her siblings, nieces and nephews. She amassed many collections of different antiques and always enjoyed sharing by giving to others. She was very devoted to her entire family from near and far. She was always the life of the party.

Virginia leaves to cherish a lifetime of wonderful memories, 4 children: Larry (Brenda) Cooper, Douglas Cooper, Janet (Ronnie) Mapps, Lisa Cooper, 7 grandchildren: Brandon, Brian, Cody, Dylan, Jesi, Felicia and Dorian, 4 great-grandchildren: Aiden, Isabel, Gabriel and Jaydon and28 nieces and nephews and their families.

In honoring Mothers’ wishes, there will only be graveside service. She requests no memorials or flowers. She was a very giving person and I’m sure would just be happy seeing others pay it forward to someone you see that is in need or down on their luck.

Graveside Services were held at 10 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, north and west of Albion, IL on Monday, April 2.

Online condolences and fond memories may be left for the family at: www.ingramfh.net

Ingram Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
