Biography

Amos Bunting was the son of James and Sophia (Vane) (Ives) Bunting, Sr. He was married three times and had seven known children. He first married Emma Sumners on 29 Jan 1862 in Albion, Edwards Co., IL. She died young, no known issue. He married second to Martha Ann Stennet 7 Jan 1866 in Edwards Co., IL and they had three sons James L, Frank and Henry Bunting, Martha also died rather young. Amos married third to Ellen Lucy Newport on 2 Apr 1876 in Edwards Co., IL, they had four known children, Lucy Ellen, Ellen, Jason and Everett Bunting.
