Biography

RESEARCH NOTE: I have no definitive proof that he is the son of Silas Burbank and Bathsheba Egery, but all available information points to this conclusion. The history of Wastenaw County, MI indicates that he was born in 1800 in Montepelier, VT. The only Burbank living in Montepelier at the time was Silas Burbank. And, we know that the list of Silas' children was incomplete.

George was born in 1800. He was the son of Silas Burbank and Bathsheba Egery. He passed away in 1850. He married Lucy Hinchey (or Hinchie). They had three children:

1. George Eugene. b. 1835; d. 1904
2. Samuel Gilman. b. 1840; d. 1913
3. Austin Fay. b. 1844; d. 1927
