George was born about 1892 in Tennessee to William H. Burbank (b. 1866 in Alabama) and Mary Elizabeth Cross (b. 1867 in Tennessee). George Burbank died March 18, 1963.
He married twice.
He married, first, on Dec 14, 1910, Velma H. Canerday (b. ; d. Apr 14, 1953). They had nine children together (of which only seven were alive at her death):
