Biography

David was born about 1742. He is the son of Caleb Burbank and Margaret Wheeler.

From 1928 Burbank Genealogy: born in Newbury, Mass.; bapt. Feb. 13, 1742-43, at the Byfield parish in the town of Rowley, Mass.; died ???; married Nov. 16, 1784, Ruth, daughter of Oliver and Betsey Tenney of Byfield (she was born Nov. 12, 1763 and died at Salem, Mass, July 6, 1848). He was about 18 years old when his father died. His uncle, Nathan Wheeler, was appointed his guardian in 1761. He was a carriage-maker. Probably lived in Rowley a few years after his marriage as he appears to be the David given in the census of 1790. Moved to Newburyport, Mass, soon after 1790 as the births of his last nine children are recorded there. He was twenty years older than his wife and was 65 when his last child was born.

Burbank-1187 and Burbank-589 appear to represent the same person because: Hi Michelle: I don't know if I did this correctly or not. You had this Unknown Burbank as the father of Naomi Pillsbury (Burbank) Gould (Burbank-587). I had already created profiles for her parents, David Burbank (Burbank-1187) and Ruth Tenney (Tenney-1105). Thus, when I attached them to Naomi's profile, it left this Unknown Burbank stranded. I don't know how to fix that other than perhaps merging this Unknown Burbank with his real identity, David Burbank (Burbank-1187).
