Son of Abraham Burbank & Abigail Savory. Born in Bradford, MA, June 22, 1760; died July 4, 1816; Married 1781 at Bradford, Susannah Barker (she died July 24, 1847). He lived in Bradford until 1802 when he moved to Gilead, ME. He was the third generation to live in Bradford - his father (Abraham) and grandfather (Eleazer) having lived there. He had no brother, and only one sister.
Served in the Revolutionary War. Served in the company of Capt. John Peabody in Col. Ebenezer Francis Regt. 3 mos. from Aug. 1776. Enlisted spring or summer 1780 in Capt. Jonathan Ayer's Co, Col. Nathaniel Wade's Regt. 6 months.
The Burbank Genealogy notes that his neighbor, Joseph Larry (Lary) of Gilead testified that he knew them well. Little's Family History of Maine (see below) shows that Rowena Ingalls Burbank, the daughter of Eliphalet's son, James, married Joseph Lary's son, Jonas Lary.
