Biography
Hannah Burbank Symmes was one of eleven children born to Samuel Baird Burbank and his wife Esther Boothby.
Hannah was united in marriage on May 12, 1825 in Parsonsfield, Maine to Luther Symmes. Hannah and Luther were blessed with birth of four children during their short 6 year marriage:
Mary Symmes Fogg Esther Burbank Symmes Abbie Symmes Haynes Rufus H. Symmes
Luther passed away at the young age of 32, leaving Hannah a widow at the age of 31. Hannah survived him by forty-seven years and did not re-marry. Hannah is interred with her daughter Mary and her family and her daughter Abbie and her family.
