Thomas BURCHETT was born about 1792 in Virginia[1] and died about 1874 in Johns Creek, Floyd County, Kentucky.[1] His parents are currently unknown.

On 18 July 1879, James PEERY was appointed administrator of the estate of Thomas BURCHETT.[2]

Family tradition stated that Thomas BURCHETT may have been the brother of Benjamin BURCHETT who married Kathy VAUGHN in 1807 and Nancy LEWIS in 1821; Drury BURCHETT who married Elizabeth McCOWAN in 1816; and Armstead BURCHETT who married Elizabeth BUTLER in 1820.[12]
