Notes

Johann Burckhard's name as deceased appears in J. Christian Krahmer's 1926 transcription of the Kocherthal records of the West Camp Lutheran Church on 3 Jan 1712 when his widow Elisabetha Burckhard remarried to Johann Adam Soeller, widower of Eppingen, commune Brockheim, Palatinate. Johann Burckhard was said to have been formerly a citizen of "Ober-Mopstatt in the Wetterau, earldom Isenburg." [1]

One line of the Isenburg Grafschaft included Büdingen, suggesting that Mockstadt may be Burckhard's correct place of origin. When Johann's daughter Margaretha married Joh. Peter Sutz 1 Nov 1714 her dec'd father was recorded as being from "Ober-Magstatt, earldom of Isenberg." The spelling as Mockstatt was given at the marriage of Johann's son Peter Burckhard 5 Nov 1717.

"Die Grafschaft Isenburg-Büdingen, auch: Ysenburg-Büdingen, in der südöstlichen Wetterau im nordwestlichen Main-Kinzig-Kreis und südöstlichen Wetteraukreis, war das Herrschaftsgebiet des gleichnamigen Grafengeschlechts, das im Jahr 1628 infolge einer Teilung der Grafschaft Isenburg entstand." DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Johann by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Johann:

Burckhard-23 and Burckhardt-3 appear to represent the same person because: Same person. Birth dates not sourced, just estimates. Widow remarried in 1712.

Can find no evidence for middle name of Martin.

Hunter's list calls him Johannes and Kocherthal calls him Johann.

Some Ancestry trees cite a baptism for Anna Margaretha, father Johann Martin in Ancestry.com. Germany, Lutheran Baptisms, Marriages, and Burials, 1518-1921 but a close look at original shows that this girl was born 1779: https://www.ancestry.com/interactive/61456/AS2461_00267?pid=4355036&backurl=https://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?indiv%3D1%26dbid%3D61456%26h%3D4355036%26ssrc%3Dpt%26tid%3D101328445%26pid%3D230128114851%26usePUB%3Dtrue&ssrc=pt&treeid=101328445&personid=230128114851&hintid=&usePUB=true&usePUBJs=true&_ga=2.169985698.36876856.1561269499-1646280833.1554965061

Burckhard-23 and Burckhardt-3 are not ready to be merged because: Needs more research. Both show as father of Anna Margaretha who married Peter Sutz. But maybe they are different people and one is incorrectly listed as the father.
