William Terrell Burford (b. 20 Feb 1787, d. 30 Jan 1875)
William Terrell Burford (6th Generation son of Philip Burford and Rebecca Burford) was born February 20, 1787 in Warren County, North Carolina; died January 30, 1875 in Marshfield, Webster County, Missouri; burial in Burford Cemetery. He married:
(1) Hepsabeth Barton, 1815 in Tennessee; born 1791 in Tennessee.
(2) Sarah Reed, 1827 in Tennessee; born April 19, 1802 in Tennessee.
Children born to Hepsabeth Barton and William T Burford are:
(i) Daniel Washington Burford, born July 22, 1816 in Sumner County, Tennessee.
(ii) David Larkin Burford, born December 17, 1817 in Bedford County, Tennessee.
(iii) Benjamin Franklin Terrell Burford, born January 21, 1819 in Bedford County, Tennessee.
(iv) Rebecca Clark Burford, born September 19, 1821 in Bedford County, Tennessee.
(v) Lucy Wilburn Burford, born August 19, 1823 in Bedford County, Tennessee.

William T. Burford migrated with his family from Bedford County, Tennessee to Greene County (now Webster County), Missouri in 1835-1838. The first son born in Missouri was William Burford, born January 1838.
Residence: 1850 Greene County (now Webster County), Missouri; 1860 Ozark, Webster County, Missouri.
"On April 9, 1853, William T. and Sarah Burford of Greene Co., sold 680 acres for $2,040, a fee simple transaction, on the stretch of Guin Prairie that now comprises the northwest portion of Nixa. The Burfords lived elsewhere in the county and had been holding the land for investment." [1]
