Sarah was baptised on 3 Dec 1811 at St Michael, Dundry, Somerset, England, the daughter of Thomas and Hester Burge.[1]
Sarah Burge married Thomas Vowles of Wraxall on 24 Mar 1834, at Barrow Gurney, Somerset.[2]
Following their marriage, Sarah and Thomas Vowles lived at Winford.[3]
They had at least ten children: Thomas,1835-1835; Elizabeth, 1836-1845; John, 1838-1885; Charlotte, 1840-1902; Mary Anne, 1842-1911, and Thomas, 1844-1919, all baptised at Winford,[4] followed by Joseph, 1846-1934; Sarah Jane, 1849-1917; Elizabeth, 1852-1926, and William James, 1854-1859, who were baptised at Whitchurch, where the family were recorded living at White Cross farm in 1851.[5]
Sarah passed away on 26 Mar 1876 and was buried at St Nicholas, Whitchurch.[6]
