Elizabeth Hurle Burge was born in the third quarter of 1846 at Wincanton, Somerset, England.^[1]She was the eldest child of James Burge and his wife Martha.^[2] Elizabeth married twice, first to Joseph Piggott King at Wokingham, Berkshire, England, in the first quarter of 1867 ^[3] and secondly to Edward Ousby Shepherd about 1879

Elizabeth died in the first quarter of 1927 at the age of 80 in Billesdon, Leicestershire, England ^[4]
