She was born April 16, 1921, in Clark County, Ill., the daughter of Arthur and Effie Bennett Burger. She married James O. Low on Dec. 25, 1963, and he preceded her in death on March 7, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Beckwith; four brothers; and one sister. She was a charter member of the Marshall Baptist Church. She had been a seamstress for many years and was also involved with childcare.
