Biography

Marcy Burdgs, daughter of Joseph Burdgs & Tameson, was born on 1 January 1712 in Yarmouth, Barnstable, Massachusetts Bay.[1][2]

Marcy Burges married Judah Baker on 23 December 1727 in Yarmouth, Barnstable, Massachusetts.[3][4][5][6]

Massachusetts Town and Vital Records list the children of Judah and Mercy, including Barnabus Baker, born 23 Feb 1734.

Mercy (aka Marcy) is buried in the Ancient Cemetery in South Dennis, Massachusetts and according to her grave marker, she died 25 January 1795.[7] Her gravestone is inscribed Marcy.[8]

Burgess-1679 and Burges or Burgess-1 are not ready to be merged because: These look alike, but I could not confirm birth year or death (which is quite different). So not sure which to select on merge.

Burgess-1679 and Burges or Burgess-1 appear to represent the same person because: According to the Genealogical Register of Plymouth Families, Wm. T. Davis, 1994, p. 49, this daughter of Joseph Burgess and Thomasine Bangs is named Mercy. Both of these records relates to the same individual.
