Birth

Edwin was born in Westminster, Middlesex in 1885^[1]. He was the son of Fred Burgess and Alice Eliza (Dunkley) Burgess. Edwin was baptised at St Matthew's, Westminster on 18th August 1886, the same day as his brother Frederick. His birth date was recorded on the register as 15th July 1885^[2]. His father stated on the register that he was a compositor and that the family were living at 28D Peabody Buildings, Orchard Street at the time.

Death
