Biography

Henry was one of Latour's migrants who came to Western Australia with his wife and four children on the Britannia, arriving on 5 May 1830.[1]

He was granted 200 acres at Large Lakes near Perth, where his sons farmed.[1]

Henry was convicted of larceny on 24 July 1833 but bought town lots in 1835 and a timber licence 1842 and operated as a miller and sawyer.[1]

His wife had left him by 1837 and was living with John George Stubberfield.[1]

He employed six Ticket of Leave men from 1851-1856 at Perth.[1]

Henry died on 1 February 1859 in the Colonial Hospital, Perth.[2][3]
