Biography

Marietta Burgess was born 15 Feb 1874 ^[1] in New Hope, Pike, Arkansas.^[2] She was the daughter of Joseph C Burgess and Sarah C Hobson. She was Mary Monette Burgess, known as "Ett"^[3]

"J E Seales" of Clay Twp, Howard county Arkansas, age 21 married Miss "M E Burgess" of Clay Twp, Howard, Arkansas, age 15, 6 Oct 1889.^[4]

In the delayed birth certificates of her sons her maiden name is "Mary Etta Burgess"^[5]

Death

Mary died 23 Aug 1940 and is buried in the Pine Crest Cemetery, Mena, Polk, Arkansas as is her husband.^[6]
