Biography
William was born in 1816 in White, Tennessee. He was the son of Thomas Burgess and Mary Hunter. He enlisted in the Army at the age of 19. It is unclear when, but he moved to Washington, Arkansas or if he was serving in the military here, but it is where he passed away in 1843 at the young age of 27. It is believed he never married or had children.
