Jedidah Burgess's maiden name is also seen as Burge.

Some sources give the marriage date for David Besse and Jedidah Burgess as 14 MAR 1779, however, this would be six years after their child Sylvanus was born.^[1]

David Besse, Jr. and Jedidah Burge were married on May 12, 1763 in Wareham, MA. The last name on her parents' stones and on her marriage register is spelled Burge.
