Biography

William was born in 1846 [1] [2] [3] or in 1845 [4]. William fought in the U.S. Civil War on the Union side in Kentucky. He enlisted as a private with the 37th Infantry (A-D) on August 31st, 1863 in Glasgow, Kentucky [5]. His wife, Matilda filed for his civil war pension on August 27th, 1890 as his widow [6]. He must have died before August 27th, 1890.
