Edith and John had 2 children Donald and Dean. Donald is 88 in 2018 and Dean died at 19 from a dear hunting accident where he was shot in the head by a friend and neighbor. After Edith died John took his own life.

Edith and Alfonso Ruport had a farm in Manterville MN. John and Laura Brown Vanderhyde were their best friends. After the death of Alfonso and John's wife Laura, Edith and John got married, sold the farm and moved to a farm in Madge co. WI near Long lake WI. After a short time they sold the farm and started a store, Vanderhydes Twin Oaks. with Gas, Ice, Beer etc. It is in the hands of John's grandkids now. This story was told to me by Donald Vanderhyde, John's son, and I think his first wife's maiden name was Brown.
