Doris was born in Welland, Ontario the daughter of Almon Burgess and Nellie M. Jones. [1][2]

Her family had moved to Passaic Ward 1, Passaic, New Jersey by 1920.[3][4]

She is probably Doris Van Desher in New Jersey with husband Leonard.[5]
