Rebekkah is said to have been born about 1665 in Hanover County, Virginia. Other sources state she was born in either Netherlands or England. No sources for her birth or parents have yet been located. Her death date and place are unconfirmed.
She married Paul Harrelson Sr. possibly about 1680 based on assigned birth dates of their children. This needs to be confirmed. The statement previously on this profile, and on her Find A Grave Memorial, that she had only one child is incorrect. Assuming she married Paul about 1680 and was still the Rebekkah who was named in his will, the couple had at least five children: Paul Harrelson, Jr., Peter Harrelson, Rebecca (Harrelson) Sims, Ann (Harrelson) Chiles, and Judith Harrelson. The incorrect, invalid, and inadequate sources previously on this profile have been removed. Anyone wanting to see those "sources" can find them on the Changes log. Research Notes
Rebakkah was not the daughter of Joseph Burgess and Patience Freeman and has been detached from them. Their daughter Rebecca (Burgess) Rose married Edward Rose. This is a Mayflower Project family that is well sourced and documented. Please do not re-attach her to them. (Sarah Callis)
Most, if not all, of the information previously on this profile is incorrect and unsourced. Her parents have not been proven. One set has already been removed and the current parents are definitely uncertain. No documentation has been presented showing Rebekah's birth name was even "Burgess." It is also extremely unlikely that her mother was Patience Lewes. Her linked son, Paul Harrelson, was married to Patience (Lewis) Harrelson. There definitely appears to have been some conflation/confusion with these marriages. Rebekah's purported mother, Patience Lewes, probably did not exist. The only thing we can say for certain about the wife of Paul Harrelson, Sr., is that her given name was Rebekkah as she was named with son Peter Harrelson as Executors of Paul's will written in 1718.[1][2]

I have also seen her placed as the daughter of Thomas Burgess of Plymouth colony (later Mass.) by Patience FREEMAN; also with no evidence provided to support that claim... but evidence of other mal-placements of other children in those Mass. Burgess family groups for whatever reason(s) over the years.
So, looking for definitive sources, either way.
