Biography
Benjamin Franklin Burgin was the son of Jesse Burgin Jr and Martha Burgin and was born in 1813 in Burke County, North Carolina.
Benjamin and his family were enumerated in 1850 living in Murray County, Georgia where Benjamin was a farmer at the age of 37 years old. Benjamin states that he was born in North Carolina and his wife's name was Obdience. The Benjamin Franklin Burgin Household in 1850 was:[1]

Benjamin and Obedience most likely died before 1870. Their daughter Catharine was found at 10 years of age living with her sister in the Arzo Buck household in Whitfield, Georgia.[3]
