Biography
Charles was born in 1880. Charles was the son of Columbus Christopher Burgin and Alice Goodson. Charles died sometime before 1900.
US Census of 1880 lists Charles F. Burgin at the age of 2/12 living with his parents Columbus and Alice Burgin in Crooked Creek, McDowell County, North Carolina. The census was dated June of 1880 so this puts Charles birth date around April of 1880. [1]

Charles was not found after the 1880 U.S. Census and in 1900 his mother stated that only 6 of her 11 children were living and six were listed in the household and no Charles, so the assumption would be that he had died before this enumeration.[2]
Research Notes
The Charles Burgin that was married to Sally Kelly Gattis and father of Frank Mitchell Burgin (1904-1982) was actually the son of Rufus Bradshaw Burgin and Martha Matilda Green. The information from this original GEDCOM upload was incorrect.
