Biography
According to the book by Greever, Hockett, Verbal, and Stevenson “Some Descendantsof John Burk (1656-1699) Middlesex County, Virginia” (Iberian Publishing Company, Atlanta, GA, 1999), the John Burke in the Rutmans’ book was the son of John Burk who was born in England before 1633 and came to Virginia circa 1650.
