Biography

John L Burk was born 8 December 1799 in Germantown Township, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is the son of John Burk and Martha T.[1] He married Ann Elisabeth Tackman 16 Oct 1825;[2] they had five children:[3][4][5]

  1. Thomas Burk married Maria McMillan;
  2. George Burk;
  3. William M Burk; married Charlotte Van Court Naylor;
  4. Caroline Burk; married Godfrey Haber;
  5. Maria Burk; married George W Green.

John passed away 14 May 1888 and was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Philadelphia.[6]
