Fred Miller Burke was born in 1884. He was the son of James Burke and Elizabeth Smith. In the 1900 census Fred (age 16) was the single son of James N Burk in Falls of Blaine, Lawrence, Kentucky.^[1]

Fred married Marion McCracken. Fred registered for the draft in 1918 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny, Pennsylvania, United States.^[2] In the 1920 census Fred (age 35), Clerk, was the married son-in-law of Hugh Mccracken in Pittsburgh Ward 18, Allegheny, Pennsylvania.^[3] In the 1930 census Fred (age 44), Asst Treasurer, was the married head of household at 1463 Tolma, Dormont, Allegheny, Pennsylvania, United States.^[4] In the 1940 census Fred (age 56), Salesman, was the married head of household in Dormont, Allegheny, Pennsylvania.^[5] Fred registered for the "old man's draft" in 1942 in Allegheny, Pennsylvania, United States.^[6]

Fred died (age 58) on Monday 28 December 1942 at his home in Mount Lebanon, Allegheny, Pennsylvania, United States.^[7][8][9] He was buried at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Mount Lebanon, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.^[10]
