John Burke was born in 1905. He is the son of Daniel Burke and Bridget Cadogan.

He left Ireland and arrived in Boston, Massachusetts on 23 May 1925 on the ship Caronia.^[2] He is also listed as being a member of the crew.^[3] His sister Margaret Mary is listed as the person he was going to visit.^[4]

On the 1930 US Census, he is living on Kenny Street in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts with his sister, Margaret Mary, her husband, George their two children, George and John^[5]

He was still living with his sister, Margaret Mary and her family in 1940 according to the 1940 US Census.^[6]

There is an Ancestry Profile which lists him as marrying Mary H Fields in Mount Airry, Surry, North Carolina on 14 Jun 1956.^[7]
