Biography

Margaret was born on 23 February 1819 in Ireland.^[1] The family immigrated to the United States sometime between 1851 and 1854.^[2]

As of 1855, at the time of her husband's declaration of intent for citizenship, the family was living in Goshen.^[3] As of July 1860, she was living in Goshen with her family.^[2] As of 1868, at the time of her husband's becoming a US citizen, the family was living in Litchfield.^[4] As of July 1870, she was living with her family in Litchfield.^[5] As of June 1880, she was still living with her family in Litchfield, and was able to read but not write.^[6]

Margaret passed away on 14 May 1898 in Litchfield of arterio-capillary fibrosis with contracted kidneys, chronic gastritis. She was buried at Saint Anthony Cemetery.^[7][1]
