MR. AND MRS. R0BERT HOY
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hoy of Moorbank(sic.), Liverpool, celebrated their golden wedding on Monday last. They were married at Mogo (N.S.W.), by the late Rev. John Archibald, on October 21, 1885. Mr. Hoy was born at Belfast, (Ireland) 76 years ago and Mrs. Hoy at Braidwood. N.S.W. 70 years ago. There are three sons and five daughters, and 40 grandchildren, all of whom gathered at the old home where Mr. and Mrs. Hoy have resided for the last 27 years, to celebrate the great event."[3].

Mrs. JANE HOY
One of the oldest residents of Moorebank, Mrs, Jane Hoy, late of Greenhills Avenue, Moorebank, died after a short on Saturday last, at the age of 84 years, Her husband predeceased her only two-and-a-half years ago. The deceased lady, who was of a very retiring disposition, had lived In the same street for the past 45 years. She Is survived by eight children, Malcolm (Hammondville), Jack (Bathurst), Allen (Moorebank), Lile (Moorebank). Grace (Mrs T. Thorn. Morebank), Minnie (Mrs. R. Thorn, Rosehill), Anne (Mrs. l. Thorn. Moorebank) and Jean, (Mrs. A. Brown. Bexley).
The Rev. Birch, Presbyterian minister conducted a service at the home on Monday, 12th. A service was also conducted by members of the L.O.L. after which the funeral, which was largely attended by relatives and friends moved to Rookwood Crematorium."[4]. (est. DOB 1867)
