Biography

Owen was born about 1820 in Ireland^[1][2][3] and married Mary Croughan.^[4]

He emigrated to the US with his family some time between the birth of his son, John (born in Ireland), around 1850 and his daughter, Margaret (born in New York), around 1853.

He died in Jersey City on 30 July 1884^[5] and is buried in Saint Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Jersey City.^[6]
