Danita (Burkett) Zanrè participated with Team Italy during the 2023 Source-a-Thon, adding sources to 000 previously unsourced profiles.
I've been researching my family, my ex-husband's family and my husband's family for years. I have hit some dead-ends, but am currently living in Italy where my husband's family is from, and we're taking advantage of local church records, civil records and DNA matches to hopefully break-through some long standing barriers.
I am currently in the middle of a years-long project to clean up my person family tree that has more than 30,000 people in it. It may turn into a decades long project.
I participate in many Wikitree Challenges and Projects, and enjoy helping others find their ancestral families.

I noticed you used the Challenge Tracker to track changes during last month's Sourcerers' Challenge. Please consider officially joining us for the Sourcerers' Challenge. You can find information, including how to join, on the Sourcerers Project page. To get directly to the current G2G thread, here's the March Challenge thread.
No pressure, every profile with a source makes our WikiTree better. Your work will continue to be included on the Tracking Sheet even if you do not register.
To all please, go to familysearch and find your folks, and see if I have fixed the family units, remember sharing DNA is time, I fix all the names and records for the family unit, who ever you are, you need the app for familysearch on a phone or tablet and sign in, add fix every name, spell them out, and the locations, set all women to their maiden, I cannot get the records to import here, if you have a gedmatch kit number, please only run ga1990166 in people who match both change the 10s to 7s, our blood cousins box comes up, please look for ged in blue or wiki, and copy the pairs closest to your DNA match into the app, and fix all the names and blue dots, this is important for this site and all the dna sites,
Thanks Margaret. I saw that and need to see if the Italian team thinks we should make it Massa-Carrara or Massa e Carrara, as there is some confusion. I should get it sorted out today.
Danita, I saw where you added a John Doderidge Maness to a tree. He is my great grandfather. He was killed with my grand Uncle George Maness in a logging accident in north Mississippi. I have found no evidence of his death, but according to my father, it was when my Grandfather was still a child. I'm figuring the deaths were around 1912. A tombstone was found years ago by another researcher who was searching cemeteries around Tunica, Mississippi. She said recently that the cemetery is now on private land, so getting to it would definitely be tricky. The date on the two stones for the people listed was 1912. When my grandfather married his first wife (1918), there was no mention of his father being alive. My Great Grandmother was also not found in any census until 1920, where she lived with her daughter (my grand Aunt) in Texas.
That's really interesting stuff Jola! Do you want to add it to the profile? It could just be in the "research notes" area of you wanted to have that be on his profile! I added a number of Maness profiles during the recent Connect-A-Thon, and now I'm going through and cleaning them up, and I just worked on his yesterday.
Hi. I have a Giuseppe Venturini profile to follow. He was married to Maddalena Lazarini. No aproximate dates data for both. They had a daughter named Assunta, born July 26,1851, so Maddalena should have born after 1806..
Hi Mario - do you know where they were from? I don't have a Maddalena Lazarini or an Assunta Venturini in my records yet, but I have a lot of Giuseppes born in the early 1800s.
Danita, thanks for replying. Giuseppe is a very common name in Italy. I think there could be some relatives in common. One of the cousins of my dad was an Albano Albani. I would gladly share with you my tree. Enjoy your weekend
Hi, Danita, I now can say that at least they lived near the Lavezzola parrish in Conselice, Lugo, Ravenna. I got by mail from a very kind officer there, the marriage certificate of their daughter Assunta Venturini [Venturini-50]. Image available.
Danita, thank you so much for putting in estimated birthdates on a couple of my ancestors. I posted them when I was new and didn't realize how useful that is. It is really appreciated. Beverly Tamanini
Hi Beverly! You are welcome. I participated in the "Spring Clean-A-Thon" this weekend, and enjoyed estimating birthdates to help others better find their relatives.
Ciao! This is just a general check-in for members of the Italy project. I am checking to see who is still interested in being a member of the project as we go through some much needed restructuring. I was also wondering what teams you would like to be on. We’ve created teams for each part of Italy. North, South, Islands etc. They will be explained further in an upcoming g2g post. Stay tuned. For now, please let me know if you are still interested in the project and if you’d like to be a member of a team.

I do not do any research in that part of Italy, so it's unlikely that our Venturini are related. \
