Neoma A. "Jum" Harney, 91, Greencastle, died Thursday at Asbury Towers in Greencastle.
Born in Tippecanoe County, she was the daughter of Asa S. and Cora Elizabeth (Bowman) Burkett. She married Jesse L. Harney on Oct. 8, 1931, in Greencastle. He preceded her in death on April 13, 1977.
She had worked as a cook at the Campus Double and Double Decker restaurant in Greencastle.
She was a member of Mansfield Bible Church.
Survivors include a son, three daughters, a sister, Lelah (Burkett) Harney, Greencastle; 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Milford Ray Harney, brothers Nelson, Arthur and Omar, sisters Bessie and Sarah, twin great-granddaughters and a great-grandson.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Barnes Mortuary in Rockville with Rev. Steve Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Martin Cemetery near Ferndale.
