"Their [Jacob and Maria's] son Daniel preceded them [to Upper Canada], selling his fine Pennsylvania-bred horse for land ... [he] was married to Barbara Groff; their family was Elizabeth (Gehman), Mary (Wideman), Veronica (Sherk), Abraham, who married first Catherine Wideman, and then Elizabeth Reesor, Susanna (Wideman), Barbara, 1834-1924 (Shaffer), Samuel, b. 1835, Solomon, b. 1838, Christina (Brillinger), Esther, b. 1841 (Dilman Wideman). Lewis J. Burkholder, author of A Brief History of the Mennonites in Ontario[5], was a son of the above Abraham." [6]
Esther passed away in 1932[7] and is buried in Heise Hill Cemetery.[8]
