John A. Gould, an employee of Singer, Nimick & Co., postoffice Pittsburgh, was born in this county in 1842, a son of Adam and Rachel Gould.Adam Gould was born in 1812, in Westmoreland county, Pa.; he there married, in 1837, Rachel Burkholder, and returned to McKeesport, Allegheny county, where he had formerly lived.
They had ten children, of whom are living William H., Adam, John A., Samuel, Joseph and Jane.
