I compared your GEDmatch kit with that of Dupre-1466:

Largest segment = 25.5 cM

Total Half-Match segments (HIR) 71.1cM Estimated number of generations to MRCA = 3.8

5 shared segments found for this comparison.

I have completed the merges requested where I could, are you planning to come back to WikiTree?

Robin, quite obviously I am a newcomer to Wikitree. I am a participant in the Burleson Project on Wikitree. i have a robust tree on Ancestry and periodically use other sites for research. I am unsure why duplicates occur when I create an entry. Is there a way to import my Ancestry tree into Wikitree? I hate to key enter everything again. I also need instruction on how to add sources to a person. there already attached on Ancestry. There has to be a shortcut.

thanks Jim Burleson

Hi Jim,

Thanks for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Collaboration with Pre-1700 Project members is essential for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because those ancestors are usually shared by many descendants.

It looks like the United States Project would be a good fit based on your branch of WikiTree. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)
