Benjamin was born on the 8th December 1802, in Birmingham, Warwickshire, England. He was the son of Joseph Burley, and judith Unknown. His christening was on the 2nd January 1804, ^[1] He married Isabella Stokes on the 30th December 1825 at St. Philip's Cathedral, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England. They had 8 children, ^[2]

He passed away on the 13th November 1883, aged 80, at 4 court, Great Brooke Street, Aston, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, and was buried on the 19th November 1883 at St Saviour, Saltley, Warwickshire, England, ^[8]
