Biography
John was born in 1773 at Auckland St Helen, Durham, England. He was the son of Nathan Burlinson and Jane Smurthwaite.
He married Joyce Davie on 16 Feb 1801 at Bishopwearmouth, Durham, England.[1]
They had at least 6 children, William Davie Burlinson (1802-1861), Joyce Davie, Frederick Thomas, June, Elizabeth and Nathan. June died in infancy.
John was admitted to the Pheonix Lodge of Freemasons in Sunderland on 19 Dec 1811.[2]
He passed away on 23 Aug 1834 and was buried at St Michael's Minster Church, Sunderland, Durham, England.[3]
